The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (UWW) is a public institution located in Whitewater and part of the University of Wisconsin system. About 50 bachelor's degrees and more than 10 master's and doctoral degrees are taught here at five specialized faculties.

Founded in 1868 as the Whitewater Pedagogical School, the American university received the right to award higher education degrees only by 1927. After almost 50 years, UWW became a member of the University of Wisconsin system, which earned it international recognition. Today, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater educates about 11,750 local and international students, offering programs in full-time and online formats. The teaching staff includes more than 300 highly qualified specialists from various scientific fields, each of whom provides students with modern knowledge and skills in demand in their professions.

The university is famous not only for the high quality of education, but also for the opportunities for extracurricular student development: from sports clubs, creative teams to regular trips to attractions, hiking trips — every student will find something to do during studies in the USA.

• High-rise towers offering accommodation in furnished double bedrooms with bathroom access. Almost a third of the student community lives in them,
• Luxury buildings, whose residents are accommodated in apartments with four single bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room,
• Buildings with capsule accommodation — small double bedrooms combined into blocks with a bathroom,
• Guest housing for invited lecturers, some teachers, and relatives. Sometimes single rooms are available in residences, which are distributed according to seniority and priority.

Many residential buildings include communal living rooms with large TVs, fitness centers, laundries, and a 24-hour front desk.

There are dining halls and cafeterias on the school grounds that accept pre-arranged meal plans. The plan includes a certain number of meals per week, additional points for purchases at campus stores. The dining rooms offer a varied menu with dishes of national and international cuisine, including recipes for vegan and vegetarian dishes.

University students can join more than 170 student organizations and visit various sites, from art galleries to bowling. At Whitewater University, students are actively involved in sports, many students are fond of their favorite sports at a professional level and represent the university in tournaments. More than 50 sports clubs are working for students; all conditions have been created to improve skills, master new sports peaks, or maintain their health in a good shape.

UWW is located on two academic territories, the main one is located 15 minutes from the center of Whitewater, and the second one is in Janesville, 40 minutes from the main campus. The total area of the university reaches 400 acres, on which academic buildings, administrative buildings, residences and sports facilities have been built.  The modern infrastructure includes lecture and computer halls, specialized laboratories of faculties, research centers, specialized creative studios and many other facilities for study and leisure.

Sports sections are organized in indoor halls and open spaces of campuses:
